the charm of „slow light“ lies in the fundamental rationality of the idea itself and the conceptual fields it invokes such as:
scattering / focussing
abundance / austerity
enduring in time / limited in time
light waste / precisely applied pure light
light as protection and protection from light

awareness of light means awareness of energy with unlimited possibilities of creatively dealing with new sources of light.

the most diverse light rhythms evolve; phases and areas of brightness programmed in manifold and purposeful ways structure the phases of undefined darkness, they construe spaces of time and venues.

light will always be in those places and only there where it is needed and only in the strength, the brightness in which it is needed; unnecessary scattering does not take place; information and entertainment – the event-inherent in event light – occur in a pin-pointed way, they illuminate areas, create space.

sorts of light blend into each other, defining themselves mutually:
information light: is information, holds information, gives information;
entertainment light: is entertainment, shows entertainment;
therapeutical light: lightens up, enlivens, stabilises.

the technical possibilities being developed allow for new usages, they – slowly but irreversibly – change the awareness of our ways of consumption.
the new sources of light result in new definitions:
of lit spaces, of darknesses,
of existing architectures and of cultural landscapes in the light of new, ecologically conscious ways of handling things,
of emerging architectures as a long-term effective correlation of light-use and darkness-gain, for the culture of light-gainers and darkness-users, each in a way he or she happens to need it from one moment to the next.

the slow light shows all that is needed.
